Triage Engineer / Support Engineer

Triage Engineer handles incoming issues from multiple teams and performs an analysis to determine the cause and apply fix or create a ticket. You’ll collaborate with the Engineering team as a whole and distribute tasks to the optimal engineer for resolution.

You will also work on new software releases to help prevent bugs before they are released live. You will define functional code tests that will proactively find code problems helping to mitigate risk. You’ll share your ideas and drive execution while helping to develop our QA discipline.

Let's talk about You:

  • Must have a good understanding of Google Cloud Platform
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a technical support/support engineer or in a similar role
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working on PostgreSQL Database
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems
  • Good understanding of SaaS products, IT security and debugging logs a plus
  • Ability to translate intricate technical details to simple, understandable terms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with customers & cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills with written and oral English fluency

It would be great if You also:

  • Technical experience with cloud products (GCP, AWS)

Your area of responsibility and growth:

  • Triage incoming bugs that couldn’t be solved by support
  • Plan and execute fixes against problems received
  • Update team on the status of release and communicate obstacles and testing risks
  • Review and update documentation on system procedures and references
  • Lead and support efforts to automate testing
  • Create and maintain test plans for new and existing features
  • Perform stress and load testing of applications
  • Define functional and regression testing specifications
  • Use modern infrastructure tools and platforms to automate our systems
  • Solve challenging problems working with large dataset transformations
