Database Administrator (Cassandra)

Job Description:

As a Senior Database Administer with strong experience in Cassandra and RDBMS, you will plan, coordinate and execute the migration of the data from the existing Oracle DB into Cassandra DB. The individual will be responsible for performance tuning of the application SQL and stored Procedures, and also plan and execute the AWS migration of the DB. Build and maintain multiple Cassandra Clusters in the lower non-production environments. Plan, coordinate, and administer database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Develop data models and perform planning of architecture, functions, modules, recovery, standards, and implementation.

  • Strong in RDBMS
  • Cassandra DBA with 5 -7 years of experience with GCP and AWS
  • Cassandra Certification
  • SQL tuning

It would be great if You also:

  • Jenkins Scripting
  • Automation in building and setting up multiple
  • Cassandra Clusters in the public cloud
  • Creating and Monitoring dashboards

Your area of responsibility and growth:

  • Work with internal and external customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing data structure - Act as liaison with customers
  • Tests designed applications
  • Analyses and determines information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities
  • Research and evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions for business issues
  • Create ad-hoc reports utilizing various data sources
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality
